I'm looking to purchase a used motorcycle. any models you recommend? i'm completely clueless.?

i'm not very good with this stuff, but i'm looking for a dependable used motorcyle so that i can get myself to work. my money is limited, so i really need to stay under $2,000. any brands you recommend? honda, yamaha, etc...thanks for any help! also, are there any good websites that you know of that will help me find a good bike?
